CAMPBELL, Mo. -- Joella Hays, 73, of Campbell, Mo., died on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.
Ms. Hays was born on April 21, 1938, in Clarkton. She was a retired Real Estate salesperson. She loved music and animals. She was former owner and operator of the Sikeston Theater and was Peach Queen in 1952. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Her survivors include one son, Brian Hays of Campbell; one daughter, Cheryl Miller and husband, Lee, of Poplar Bluff; three grandsons, John Austin Miller and Dusty Miller, both of Poplar Bluff, and Landon Hays of Campbell; one great-grandson, Owen Miller of Dexter; one brother, Mike Brannan and wife, Judy, of Kirbysville, Mo.; and two nephews, Kevin Bonne of St. Louis and Clinton Brannan of Kirbyville, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Fred and Lynuel Beryl Allen Brannan; a son, John Claude Hays, II; a brother, Phill Brannan; a daughter-in-law, Dana Hays; a grandson, Mitchell Kline Hays.
Visitation was held Tuesday afternoon followed by the funeral service at 4 p.m. at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
