Patrol credits fewer traffic deaths to united effort

Students and teachers returning to the classrooms this week mean increased traffic on the roadways of Southeast Missouri at a time when the state is experiencing a nearly 20-percent decrease in traffic-related deaths. Lee Aaron Jones Jr., 21, of the 1800 block of Alice Street, Brandon Mikel Chappell, 26, of the 200 block of East Midland and Lee Anthony Abraham Jr., 21, of the 1000 block of West Henry were charged with the Class B felonies of first-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and the Class C felony of stealing by Butler County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ted Thompson.. ...
