Lady Tigers earn 1st win against Poplar Bluff

NEELYVILLE -- Poplar Bluff and Neelyville hadn't played each other much over the years. The teams played each other a handful of times. Poplar Bluff had never succumb to the Lady Tigers. Until Saturday that is. Neelyville took a lead with 30 seconds to play in the first half on a trey by Darby French. The Lady Mules were never out of contention, but never took a lead and tied the game just once the rest of the way as Neelyville prevailed 64-59...

NEELYVILLE -- Neelyville junior Matt Nicolay reached 1,000 career points Saturday night but it wasn't enough against two double-double efforts from a pair of Van Buren Bulldogs. Van Buren outscored the Tigers 40-27 in the second half and win 69-59. Bulldogs senior Tyler Griffin had a huge night with 32 points and 13 rebounds. He was 14-of-19 from the free-throw line. Senior Ricky Davis had the other double-double for Van Buren (7-11) with 15 points and 14 rebounds...
