James Fuwell, 87, of McGee died May 16, 2018 at his home. Services were held May 18, 2018 at the Morgan Sifford Funeral Home of Puxico. Rev. Ken McAnulty officiated. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery in McGee.

Stoddard County voters will be presented with two sales tax propositions during the August election for the sheriff's department and jail operations as well as a jail expansion.
