Jessica Lynn Chaney, 38, of the 400 block of Vaden Street was arrested at 3:28 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in the 800 block of Valley Street on a warrant for parole violation on an original drug offense, a municipal failure to appear warrant for larceny and delivery/possession of a controlled substance in a correctional facility. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

City firefighters responded 12:41 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, to a report of a structure fire at 616 Kinzer St. According to the report, firefighters found smoke coming from a vacant, two-story wood frame house. Upon entering the home, firefighters found a fire had been set in the living room and used 200 gallons of water to put it out.
