Jacksons to celebrate 63rd wedding anniversary

Roy and Cynthia Jackson, of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Wappapello, will celebrate 63 years of marriage this month. The couple was married on Oct. 13, 1956 in Hernando, Miss. The Jacksons grew up in the Qulin area and lived in St. Louis for 32 years where Roy worked for General Motors. After Roy’s retirement, the couple settled in Wappapello, later moving to the St. Peters, Mo. area to be closer to family...

Railroad museum recognizes donor

Application deadline extended for Practical Nursing programs at Three Rivers College Poplar Bluff, Sikeston

The application deadline has been extended until October 18 for the one-year Practical Nurse (PN) certificate programs at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff and Sikeston. Classes for these programs will begin in January.
