City firefighters responded at 9:01 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, to a report of a smoke odor inside the 1018 Davis St. residence occupied by Mathew Allen and owned by Linda Halbort. According to the report, firefighters detected a burning odor upon their arrival and used the department’s thermal-imaging camera to check the heating/ventilation/air conditioning unit.
