Improvements ongoing at Hendrickson Park (Local News ~ 01/17/20)

Limanen earns P.E.O. Scholarship (Community News ~ 01/17/20)
Whitney Lauren Limanen, of Williamsville, has been awarded a $500 Henrickson Memorial Scholarship from Chapter DG of P.E.O., based in Poplar Bluff. The cash award will help defray costs of Limanen’s nursing studies at Three Rivers College (TRC). Limanen, 31, is in her second semester of TRC’s nursing program and plans to graduate in May of 2021... -

The Mules Booster Club has named Maddi Mae Shumate and Justin Moses of Poplar Bluff High School the November Athletes of the Month, presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors. Justin, a junior soccer player, has 205 saves, 2 shootouts, 1 goal and 1 assist this season. A three-year letterman, Justin holds the record for most saves in a season and is on track for holding the career record, according to his coaching staff. Viaduct bridge clear morning after vehicle accident (Local News ~ 01/17/20)
Traffic has cleared this morning from the viaduct bridge area on Highway 53 . Both lanes of traffic were temporarily stopped shortly before 8 a.m. Friday morning due to a two-vehicle accident, according to witness reports. No information was available as of 8 a.m. concerning injuries. -
