Bernie woman seriously injured in head on crash

A two-vehicle accident in Stoddard County resulted in serious injuries for a Bernie woman. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, on Highway 25, one mile south of Bernie. A 1997 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Gunner J. 1 new COVID19 related death locally announced

One new COVID19 related death and five active cases were announced Wednesday in the Butler County Health Center’s weekly update. According to information provided by the center, the county’s total now stands at 4,579 cases. The Butler County Health Department release said, the staff “is sad to report the death.” The release also stated, “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased. This brings our total COVID related deaths to 58.”...

$7M in pavement improvements planned across five area counties
