Surviving the Holidays: Psychological first aid for mental health (Local News ~ 12/09/22)
A miss-dialed phone number has led to a blessing for the Poplar Bluff community that continues to pay off this December, as local officials partner with Johns Hopkins to offer a course Tuesday on mental health and the holidays. Eagle-eyed Poplar Bluff volunteers tracked more than 500 birds in the last annual Christmas Bird Count, and organizers hope to see this year’s annual event match or top that event. The Poplar Bluff Bird Count has been conducted for over 25 years and is part of a national tradition, according to Bruce Beck, who compiles the count for the area. Northside Community Center needs community support (Local News ~ 12/09/22)
