100 years ago Dec. 19, 1923 • Officers believe Leo Peterson, a 17-year-old lad recently charged with horse theft, intended a career of wrongdoing. Butler County farmer Tom Grayson states Peterson came to his farm riding the allegedly stolen horse and stopped and represented himself as a stock buyer who wanted to buy some goats from Grayson with an allegedly forged check.
