UPDATE 12:30 p.m.: Butler County Coroner Jim Akers has confirmed that the victim killed in Friday morning's crash Ryan McCallister, 28, of Butler County.

Butler County Western District Commissioner Dennis “Boots” LeGrand is retiring after eight years in office. He originally sought the position after serving 37 years as a lineman with Municipal Utilities. LeGrand has been known as “Boots” since he was six years old, a nickname his brother gave him.

Don “Butch” Anderson will be leaving office as Butler County Eastern District Commissioner at the end of this year after four terms totaling 16 years.
