Generosity shines as Neelyville students compete in annual food drive (Local News ~ 12/22/24)
Neelyville R-4 held their annual Christmas Food Drive from Dec. 3-Dec. 18. All donated items will be given to the Neelyville Food Pantry to help citizens in the community. The grand total for all three campuses was 3,120 items. The class at each campus bringing in the most food won a class party. The party supplies were donated by Mr. and Mrs. Gary Parish. Miss Poplar Bluff winner makes donation to PBFD (Local News ~ 12/22/24)
Angelique Santiago was named Miss Poplar Bluff in the America’s Best Pageant in Farmington on Dec. 8, and advances to the national competition in Nashville next year. Santiago made a donation Dec. 13 to Poplar Bluff Fire Department. ‘I want to put Poplar Bluff on the map, bring awareness to the community and try to get as many people involved as I can,” she said... -
Retired teachers give grant to start guitar class at Twin Rivers (Local News ~ 12/22/24)
At a recent meeting, Butler County Retired Teachers and School Personnel voted to help fund a guitar class taught by Suzanne Abney at the Twin Rivers High School. Abney had submitted a grant request in June to the Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation, but the application wasn’t granted at that time... -

Officers responded to Arkansas and Henry Street Sunday, Dec. 22, about a domestic dispute. The suspect was located at Truman and Victor Street. Both parties separated after Missouri Domestic Law was explained to them. _ Officers responded Sunday, Dec. 22, to Winning Circle about property damage. Contact was made with the victim who stated someone cut his tires while he was inside playing games, charges are being sought...
