A Poplar Bluff man pleaded guilty Tuesday, Feb. 27, to a felony charge of setting fires on federal and private land. A release from Sayler Fleming, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri, says Adam D. Gambling, 44, set fires that burned 220 acres of U.S. Forest Service and private land on Nov. 8, 2022. The fires were near Beaver Lake in Mark Twain National forest in Butler County...

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT Kimberly Ann Davis, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 27, on a warrant. Davis was later lodged in the Butler County jail. _ Officers were dispatched Tuesday, Feb. 27, to the 700 block of Lester Street in reference to a domestic dispute. Both parties were contacted and advised of the Missouri law pertaining to domestics. Neither wished to pursue charges and were released on scene...
