Stop city tax harassment I understand that your city collector, Mark Massingham, is still intimidating and harassing people into paying city taxes that were paid years ago. They harassed me by phone and the mail for years saying I owed several hundred dollars in taxes from 25 years ago, and that penalties I owed were more than the taxes. ...

Archive volunteers honored

The volunteers of Butler County Archives were recognized Sept. 18 for their efforts in preserving Circuit Court records of early 20th Century. They were treated to a meal at the Branding Iron restaurant. Altogether the volunteers gave over 2,686 hours of their time, thereby saving the county taxpayers about $20,000. Their donation of time enables the country to care for its permanent and historical files and records...
