SCOTT CITY -- The Poplar Bluff Piranhas swim team won a meet Saturday by winning 29 races. The Piranhas edged the Paducah Marlins by 44 points (578-534) while host Scott City Dolphins followed with 527 points and the Sikeston Sharks scored 458. Lily Soeter won all five of her events in the 13-14 age division, Raegan McAtee won three 11-12 division races and helped two relays win while the Piranhas swept the 15-18 girls division with three different winners...

An apology please [mail] Poor social graces! Ok. I've kept quiet as long as I can! I have tried to keep an objective opinion about our new "coalition" and give the new Mayor the support and respect she needs to perform her duties. I am sorry to say, I can no longer support her after the unprofessional way she treated Susan McVey and the complete disregard she had toward Betty Absheer and other council members that questioned her actions at the city council meeting...
