The Poplar Bluff High School Class of 1954 had its 60th reunion Sept. 12 - 13. There were classmates from Missouri, Illinois, Louisiana, North Dakota. Also attending was one of the loved and favorite teacher, Mrs. Pauline Hearne. On Friday night the usual get-together social was held in the Greater Poplar Bluff Area Chamber of Commerce Community room. There was a football game, Poplar Bluff and Cape Girardeau and some of the classmates attended the game...

Oak Grove Elementary School has released the names and photographs of their Students of the Month for September 2014. Third grader, Nevaeh Soares, was nominated by her teacher, Ashley Blume and her classmates. Nevaeh is the daughter of Jaquelyn McCormick and Wayne Soares.
