By PHYLLIS FLANIGAN University of Missouri County Program Director Jan. 15 and 16 will mark the 30th anniversary of the Heartland Agriculture and Natural Resources Expo (Ag Expo), which will be at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Ag Expo has continued to grow and add new events during the past 29 years under the direction of the Butler County University of Missouri Extension Council and the Ag Club of Three Rivers College...

While enjoying Ag Expo 2016, think of the Three Rivers College Agriculture Club members who did much of the work in preparing the exhibit area. The TRC Ag Club is the co-sponsor of the expo along with the Butler County University of Missouri Extension Council. It has been a 30 year partnership which has benefited both organizations and the community...

There is still time to register for the Ag Expo Beauty Pageant which will be held at the 30th annual Ag Expo 2016 on Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff, Mo. The divisions include: 9:30 a.m., Baby Girl, birth to 12 months; 10 a.m., Toddler Girl, First birthday to 23 months; 10:30 a.m., Petite Miss, 2 to 4 years; 11 a.m., Tiny Miss, 5 to 7 years; 11:30 a.m., Little Miss, 8 to 12 years; Noon, Junior Miss, 13 to 15 years; and 12:30 p.m., Miss Ag Expo, 16 to 20 years...

The Youth Farm Safety Educational Program sponsored by 4-H is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 16 from noon-2 p.m. at Ag Expo. This year, youth will walk through each participating company's booth and receive a stamp on a "passport" once they have completed the farm safety topic taught there. ...

By SARAH DENKLER STEPHANIE MILNER University of Missouri Extension Ag Expo 2016 will feature both adult and youth based educational programs. The Expo will be held on Friday, Jan. 15 and Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Black River Coliseum in downtown Poplar Bluff. Admission is $1 for adults and free for youth and those with a valid college student ID. Admission covers all events held at the expo except for the beauty pageant...
