The Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center has been recognized with a national award for clinical excellence. Leaders, physicians and clinicians from Poplar Bluff Regional gathered to celebrate the Center of Distinction award, which was given to the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center by Healogics, the nation's leading and largest wound care management company...

Michael Shane, base pilot supervisor for the Poplar Bluff, Mo., Air Evac Lifeteam base, recently celebrated his 2,000th patient flight. Shane opened the base in 2002, and was previously a pilot in the United States Army. Jeff Estes, senior program director for the Air Evac base, said Shane has a great deal of history with the Poplar Bluff base and is a dedicated pilot...

The threat of inclement weather did not stop hundreds of area residents from turning out Saturday for the 38th annual Merchants Showcase at Three Rivers College. A steady stream of visitors meandered through the booths inside the Bess Activity Center, where they talked to the various vendors, as well as signed up for giveaways, sampled treats or received medical screenings...
