MALDEN -- The Green Wave's season-ending loss hit everyone hard and worked up tears for many reasons. For the six seniors, it was the end of their careers. For coach Angela Rodgers, it was the first time she had to say goodbye. Last year was her first as head coach of the Green Wave and with no seniors on the team, she was given a reprieve from having to give that annual goodbye speech to the kids who just had their high school careers come to a screeching halt...

The Bloomfield Wildcats and a pair of area golfers punched their ticket to the MSHSAA championship tournament Monday. Nathan Woolard of Poplar Bluff advanced as an individual in Class 4, as did Dexter's Spencer Warren in Class 3 while the Wildcats placed second at the Class 1 Sectional tournament to advance as a team...

West County led throughout and put the clamps on a Clearwater rally late to beat the Lady Tigers 8-2 on Monday and end their season in the MSHSAA Class 1 state playoffs for the third time in four seasons...

PIEDMONT -- Trey Rivas roped a line-drive, walk-off single to give the Clearwater baseball team a 7-6 victory over Lesterville in eight innings Monday. Tied at 6-all, Stephen Martino, Fynnegan Cooper and Kameron Fay all drew one-out walks to load the bases in the final frame before Rivas' game-winner for Clearwater (9-8)...
