Downtown 'flop house' closed, 26 evicted

An extended investigation into illegal housing and other activities at a building in the 200 block of South Main Street in downtown Poplar Bluff culminated in the execution of a search warrant Monday morning. Six people were arrested, including an unregistered sex offender, and 26 were evicted from the property. Until further notice, the building has been condemned by city officials.
