**UPDATED 10:28 A.M.** The outage occurred at approximately 8:53 a.m. with power resuming in some areas around 9:22 a.m. According to reports, over 4,400 Municipal Utilities customers were affected. Bill Bach, general manager of Municipal Utilities, said a bush hog operating on the east side of Poplar Bluff threw a wire up into an energized power line causing the outage. No injuries were reported.
