State's third oldest Baptist church celebrates 200th year in Wayne County

PIEDMONT — The congregation of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Wayne County is celebrating its 200th anniversary this month. FIRE Poplar Bluff firefighters responded to 1111 Nooney St., at 1.17 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, to an unauthorized burn. According to the report, Poplar Bluff police officers were on the scene. The house was condemned, but three people were there. The coating was being burned off wire. Firefighters used 15 gallons of water to put out the fire. The wire was taken to be disposed of, according to reports. PBFD left the scene at 1.51 p.m...
