Elvis Belt, 89, of Poplar Bluff passed away Oct. 5, 2020 at his home. He was born June 12, 1931 in Gibson, Missouri to the late Omer and Ester (Hicks) Belt. Mr. Belt was retired from the United Sates Air Force. Barbara Ann Ward, 74, of Poplar Bluff died Oct. 2, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 16, 1946 to the late Dale and Elvi Provance. She was married to Arthur Ward Sr. for many years, he preceded her in death in 2013. She had worked for many years in factories, and was of the Baptist faith. During a four-day period in September, Bread Shed volunteers gave away nearly 25,000 diapers, 50,000 pounds of food and served a hot meal to those in need of one. They repeated diaper distributions again this week in Butler County, serving 500 families on Thursday with about 25,000 more diapers.
