Poplar Bluff Garden Club and Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation celebrated Arbor Day on April 22 at Whiteley Park. Murray Hammond of the park department helped the children plant three bald cypress trees. “The purpose is to make children of all ages aware of the importance of trees to our environment and encourages them to plant trees.
