Dash to the Past — All liquor charges dismissed

Two sensational cases led today’s editions. The first was a continuation of a massive, controversial anti-liquor operation in Poplar Bluff in 1924. All 100 charges stemming from it were dismissed; meanwhile, the raid’s leader faces his own investigation. In 1974, a Fisk man wanted for attacking a highway patrolman was arrested in Illinois for armed robbery.
